An empowerment is a special blessing ceremony where we receive a lot of positivity and inspiration. Prior to the empowerment the teacher has spent a week in silent retreat developing a very peaceful and positive mind, and so when the teacher grants the empowerment it is as if they pass on the special positivity of there retreat to those present.
