In Sutra of the Four Noble Truths, Buddha says:

You should know sufferings.
You should abandon origins.
You should attain cessations.
You should practise the path.

These instructions are known as the ‘four noble truths’.

On this course we will learn that the origin of our suffering, our unpleasant feelings, is within our own mind. Through understanding that the cause of our suffering is inside our mind and not outside our mind, we can come understand that by simply changing our mind we can become free from all suffering and pain. Therefore through developing and maintaining mental peace, we can learn to cease our unpleasant feelings and eventually learn how to be happy all the time through maintaing a peaceful mind all the time - this is what everyone wants.
