On retreat we withdraw from our daily activities to develop inner peace from within. However if we keep worrying about the things we have left undone it will still interfere with our retreat. Retreat is mainly a state of mind. Silence is very useful: it helps us turn inwards and pay more attention to our mental chatter, so that we can begin to let it go and experience real silence within our mind.
An opportunity to learn to develop a real inner stillness through the power of breathing meditation. We will train in this simple breathing meditation over 3 sessions and spend the breaks in silence in the tranquil surroundings of the Buddhist centre, where we can hang out with a drink, read, or have a walk in our peaceful garden.
